I love it when a word's shorter yn Gymraeg, stick it to the stereotype. Also echdoe, so succinct.

Ddoe comes from Proto-Celtic *desi, from Proto-Indo-European *dʰǵʰyes-, and is cognate with Breton dec’h, Cornish de, Scottish Gaelic an-dè, and outside Celtic with English yes(ter), German gestern, Latin herī ("yesterday", Romance ayer/hier/ieri), Albanian dje, Ancient Greek χθές (khthés, Modern Greek χθες, chthes) and Sanskrit ह्यस् (hyas).
