Is 'aqui' pronounced correct here? It sounds a bit odd to my ears

No... it's similar to "a - kee"

It should be in english: Is there a telephone? There is no need to use 'here' in the end.

But there IS a need for 'here' at the end. it is a different sentence from 'is there a telephone?'

"is there a phone here" is wrong ? why ?

Why can't I say, "There's a phone here?" That's common in English.
