Message about lost internet connection, but no connection issues

Over the past month, 2-3 of my students have told me that Duolingo isn't working properly for them. The problem is that the screen freezes up and tells them that they have lost internet connection, but the students report that there were no internet connection issues at the time these messages have been received. The result is that they have not been able to complete their weekly assignments or have not gotten credit for all of the assignments that they worked on. Is there an explanation for this? A solution? I want to ensure that my students have glitch-free service and that they get credit for the work they have done.

Two years after the last comment I have the same problem in Android. Duolingo lost Internet connection raise an error. But, everything else is working.

Could it be that your connection glitched for a short period of time so you didn't notice if anything else crashed? Try to run a speed test in a browser or android app when it crashes next time. Choose the one that shows connection stability like here https://www.speedcheck.org
