Merhabalar! I`ve noticed that there are different ways of saying "I have" in Turkish: either "BENDE ...-Im var or BENIM ...-Im var". 1-Is there other way of saying "I HAVE"? 2-Can someone summarize the difference between the two? 3-Is it compulsory to use possesive in the object possesed, even if its people? Or is it possible to say "bende bir kitap var" or "benim abla var" Thanks a lot!

My english is not enough. But, I try to explain it for you. I hope you understand. ( İngilizcesi iyi olan biri yorum yaptığında bu yazıyı sileceğim arkadaşlar.)

We don't say ''Bende ...ım var'' . if we use ''bende'', don't use ''-ım''. ''bende kitap var'' or ''bende bir kitap var'' is correct.

And, when you say ''benim'', you have to use ''-ım'' . So: ''benim bir ablam var'' , '' benim bir kalemim var''
