Hi! Why is "Ο σκύλος τρώει ακόμα" wrong here? Thanks!

Ο σκύλος τρώει ακόμα means "the dog is still eating.

Ο σκύλος είναι τρώει ξανά should work shouldn't it?

No. είναι does not belong in that sentence.

is eating = τρώει

'Ο σκύλος ξανά τρώει' should be accepted

'Ο σκύλος ξανά τρώει' should be accepted

That does not sound natural to me (it sounds as wrong to me as "The dog again is eating") -- it should be Ο σκύλος τρώει ξανά.

Or Ο σκύλος ξανατρώει ('re-eats'). No gap, no problem. :) But ξανά on its own can only go at the end, you're right.
