Having a "perfect sense of humor" doesn't make sense in English (at least in American English); it is a direct translation from Greek. I think a more appropriate English translation would be "Our uncle has a great sense of humor".

From the other side of the Atlantic I agree with Χάρης :-)

So many sentences use τέλειος. I don't think we say things are perfect as much in English. Maybe 'great' should be suggested more often. I might say 'Perfect!' if I've asked someone to do something for me, or while grading a short-answer quiz, but not responding to something open-ended, like humor, an essay, ...

Nevertheless, I still have my eighth-grade literary essay on doppelgangers I wrote back in 1962, on which my teacher had scrawled, "This is perfect." (How could I have ever tossed that out?)

I agree, the last word of this sentence did not sound anything like Greek word word "χιούμορ"

I know I'm supposed to interrupt my lesson now, to find the other Forum location to report this. But here is where I'm stashing it, anyway: the new voice's version of χιούμορ sounds like "σούμον" or something. Bleahh!

Very strange translation, which I see people didn't like as far back as 3 years ago. I got thumbs down for 'Our uncle has an excellent sense of humour', which I thought was pretty passable.

We have "perfect" and "great" "sense of humor". And yes, I think "excellent" would also fit. Have you made a Report? Please do that when your sentence is not accepted.
