Bearing in mind the leeway that some of the answers allow, I am a little disappointed that "basket ball" was not accepted.
How about "a basketball", not the game but the ball itself, would that be the same word?
The word would usually be split:
- pêl-fasged; pêl fasged - basketball (the sport); a basketball (the ball)
- pêl-droed; pêl droed - football (the sport); a football (the ball)
Generally, though, it would probably be clear from the context which was meant..
