Is there an easy way to learn the Russian alphabet?
I am just wondering if there is an easy way to learn the Russian alphabet?
If flashcards suit your learning more, you can try this course on Memrise: http://www.memrise.com/course/36176/russian-alphabet-4/ You can also do the Russian tree on Duolingo first in the Latin alphabet and then redo it in the Cyrillic script.
I have read about an interesting way of learning foreign alphabets but have not happened to test it yet. I will try to describe how it works.
Step one: you take a text fragment in Russian and write it completely in Latin letters. For example: Sova Duo izuchajet russkij jazyk. (The owl Duo learns Russian).
Step two: you pick any Latin symbol and substitute it with the corresponding Cyrillic symbol in the whole text:
Сova Duo izuchajet russkij jazyk. (S = С)
Step three: pick the next symbol...: Cова Duo izuchajet russkij jazyk. ( V = В)
... and the next one: Cова Dуo izуchajet rуsskij jazyk. (U = У)
And after all you will come to Сова Дуо изучает русский язык :)
If you will ever try it, I am eager to know if it works and how does it work :))
Maybe you should stop concentrating on learning the letters or memorizing them , to be more precise . And start learning simple words which are not confusing to pronounce , like девушка, метро, рюкзак, говядина and words including letters you forget with the romanization .
