* This week's Leader Extraordinaire!
^ The Hindi, Czech, Swahili, Spanish (for Arabic), & Tamil teams' progress is as per their own calculation
Here's what the contributing teams have said during the last week:
(For Phase-1 and Phase-2 courses by default, and for Phase-3 courses per request).
German course update rolled out to more users
The revised version of the German course that was rolled out to 50% of new users 8 months ago has now been rolled out to 50% of older users.
We'd like to emphasise that it was not the contributors' decision to delay the roll-out. If it were up to us, everyone would have the updated tree by now.
Slow progress and only one update this week from - you know it! - the Czech team.

Whoa, looks like Korean made a big dent in their work this week. I think they wanted to make up for the past two weeks.
Happy new year to all!
Today's WIU will be coming up in the next few hours... in between a few of my Sunday morning errands.
Yes, there was a gap and this would be the first triweekly edition :(
Go, team Czech! It's great to see steady progress in the course.
The progress in the Italian for Portuguese course has been insane recently.
Thank you to all course contributors for all the hours of tedious, brain-numbing effort you put into these courses!!
Aw I thought Hindi was much further along.... well I can wait. Swahili is coming out soon I hope :)
Yeah it's awesome. It actually has an alphabet (syllabary) of only a few variant characters, rather than Chinese, which has "All those crazy symbols" or Japanese, which has 2 syllabaries and the Chinese Symbols (Hanzi/Kanji).
Only difficulties would be the difference between "Double letters", like;
"ㄸ and ㄷ"
"ㅅ and ㅆ".
But yeah, Korean is groovy.
Mr. Jitengore, there was also an update by German (from English) team.
I saw a comment about it when I was checking your stream, waiting for this update. ^_^
I know I will have to wait a long time, but I'm looking forward to the reverese course for Tagalog. In thr meantime, I'll work on the updated German course and learn Swahili with Memrise and uTalk.
Shall I take it that the update that was planned for boxing day will be combined with the one that's due out some time in the first week of January?
Wow, High Valyrian is going like a bat out of hell, isn't it? you could almost set your watch by their progress.
Between learning Esperanto, waiting (and waiting) for the Klingon course, and getting reasonably excited about High Valyrian, I Guess I like constructed languages more than most people.
There's an update for the Portuguese for French Speakers course (5 days ago now) that seems to have missed making it into this update. It indicates that the course is now in verification by Duolingo:
"Après plusieurs mois de travail, le cours est désormais en vérification par Duolingo. Encore quelques semaines de patience, il devrait être disponible en version bêta (pour vous!) courant janvier 2017.
Bonnes fêtes de fin d'année à tous !"
Yay! I want to start the course before April. Let's hope it can be done.
Don't mean to be a bugger, but is Korean for English supposed to be 31-Dec-
The teams can independently adjust the expected release dates, so I imagine they stuck it that far in the future so no one would ask questions about when it's coming.
Thank you :). Now it's 1000...
