I am finally getting this

I am so happy my brother recommended Duolingo to me. I never had the enthusiasm I have now, before, and just wasn't getting it. Now, though, I'm finally getting the hang of learning french .

Have you got the hang of the feminine and masculine words ? French is a lot easier when you know how to do that. As well as do all the accents.....

I think I'm starting to get the whole Female/male thing but it still confuses me sometimes.

I've been at it for years and occasionally I'll still get the genders reversed. So do not feel bad for being confused. This might help...http://french.about.com/od/grammar/a/genderpatterns.htm

Don't worry, it confuses everybody. Mixing up the genders is also a feature of typical German speakers speaking French or French speakers speaking German. It makes you sound like a foreigner, but it doesn't hinder communication.
