That was a slight mistake we made in naming the units. It'll be corrected in the new tree.

It is possible to get this list for the new 118 skill course. I love the new program. Seeing as I am now redoing skills I find the new presentation is making me work harder.

December 30, 2017

https://www.duolingo.com/FieryCat

Yes, it is possible. I am not learning this course, so I have two questions: can this old list be useful for someone, or everyone has been switched to the new course with 118 skills in it? Should I update this list or create another one?

This is a big personal thank you to FIERY CAT. Someone passed on this link to me. I thanked them for the link: I forgot to thank you. You did a brilliant job. I imagine that with the updated CROWNS system, the vocabulary list won't be changed, it's just a massive increase in lessons. Your work is invaluable, now that the vocab lists at the beginning of each skill have been taken away. Your work remains EVEN MORE relevant. DIOLCH YN FAWR IAWN, IAWN IAWN!

Excellent! Would you be able to get a list of the sentences taught at each unit and lesson, too?

January 31, 2017

The course has the more than 9,000 sentences. I think that is a bad idea to post them here.

January 31, 2017

Would you be able to provide them through e-mail at all? Or in a txt file hosted somewhere?

There is no simple way to get such list of the sentences for me. That needs access to the incubator. Sorry.

The website is fantastic. I've made a lot of progress. But there needs to be a workshop of some type with lists, pronouns and sentence structure.

Numbers, days, months, etc. are learned by repetive use in order. I had to write them out. Which wasn't a problem, just time consuming.

When I got to pronouns, I'm struggling. The grammar is very difficult to grasp. There is no explanation. No examples. I approached that section like I did every previous section and did all four so I could practice on the entire set. Except now I'm stuck on way to much information and no way to process it. I've tried writing it out, but the grammar rules haven't been specified, so I'm trying to pick apart sentence format and how articles work. It's literally giving me a headache at times. I sped through it all in less than a month and I now I can't make progress.

August 2, 2017

https://www.duolingo.com/ibisc

There are supporting notes and examples available for nearly all the sections in the course - see here

The best way to learn with a system such as Duolingo is to spend only a short time each day doing it, but to do it regularly. If you try and go through the whole thing very fast you are unlikely to retain the information as well. Nor will you have time to use the additional resources that we recommend in the course notes and discussions.

August 2, 2017

https://www.duolingo.com/Zyndell2

Thank you. I went the speed my brain processed. If I don't work on repetition continually, I won't learn. Without the lists and reasonable approach to pronouns, I have no idea how I'm doing this. With other sections, I struggled a bit. Now I simply can't differentiate the pronouns. I will check resources, but I'm going to have to create the repetition my brain needs for those pronouns. I have no idea how anyone learns without it.

This far more useful than it initially appears from the title. Any chance the title can be updated so that those of us who are a little slower on the uptake (me) can see that it's a vocabulary broken down by unit? Thanks.

April 4, 2017

https://www.duolingo.com/FieryCat

How do you see the title? If you give me some examples, it would be fine.

April 4, 2017

https://www.duolingo.com/Alistair11204

I think there's a mismatch between how I (as a learner with no knowledge of the inner workings of the site) label things vs. how they may be labelled by the site and/or tutors. The course code is CY for Cymraeg, but I think of it as Welsh, since it's Welsh for English speakers. I think of the individual headings within the course as "units", although I see now (after several months of using the website) these are listed as "skills", which explains why you called them that (see, I said I was slow on the uptake). Then I think, for me, "Vocab" or "Vocabulary" is more obvious than "Word List". So something like "Vocabulary per skill unit for the Welsh for English speakers course" ?

Awesome work in extracting this from the database, but as I started learning after this was created I wasn't aware of it. I then scrolled past it in the sticky list because I didn't recognise it for what it was.

April 4, 2017

https://www.duolingo.com/FieryCat

I will think about it, thanks. Hm, I didn't know that this post is in the sticky list :)
