Funny: in English, ‘filly’ means ‘young female horse’. I guess it could be both if you’re a Brony.

Τί διαφέρει τό "κοπέλα" από τού "φίλη"?

What's the difference between "κοπέλα" and "φίλη"?

@Nel_TB, @Aegryspes

Φίλη: female friend, girlfriend (in a romantic relationship)

(this one also applies to φίλος. Ι have to say that it's more common to hear φίλος for boyfriend, rather than φίλη for girlfriend. )

Κοπέλα: girl of a younger age (15-25 or a bit older than that), girlfriend (in a romantic relationship)

I hope this was helpful ^.^

I wrote "I have one friend", it got marked correct, but without further context, what is the most likely to be understood from this phrase.

I have a friend is what would be understood without context.
