How do I connect the iPhone app to my existing account?

Have an account. Attempting to use the iPhone app with it. All it allows me to do is to create a new account; I cannot find a place where it says "log into your existing account". What am I doing wrong?

(I tried uninstalling and re-installing. Same thing.)

My daughter has worked for days on the iphone app. We're having the same login issue. If I "sign out" in order to sign her back in, will she loose her progress or will it apply her progress to the signed in account? any ideas? We'd prefer not to start over... again...

Ok...thanks I have managed now to sign into my three devices Mac, iPad and iPhone. My question is how does one sync your progress across the devices. For example when I can I work on my phone and when I get to the office I want to continue on my Mac but my Mac is still at the previous place where i stopped on it before carrying on on my phone. Does Duolingo provide a sync option? Thank you Brian

This is what I just did: 1. Deleted app 2. Fresh download of app from app store 3. In app store, click "open" 4. Green-background splashscreen with "duolingo" comes up 5. Popup comes up saying "Duolingo needs to send you notifications", I click "OK" 6. Popup comes up saying "Duolingo would like to send you notifications", I click "Allow" 7. Screen has "spanish" in the top bar, icons for Basic 1, Phrases, Basic 2, and a bottom bar with four icons starting with "Learn"

What I was looking for was "settings" where I can set the account. (I hope this will do instead of the screenshot)

Okay! So look at the bottom four icons, and click on the one that is shaped like a shield. It should bring you to the clubs page. Then, in the top left corner, there should be something that says profile. Click on that, and then underneath where it says Create a Profile, click settings. Something else should pop up, and then you can click sign out. That should bring you back to where it says I already have an account, and then you can sign in. Hope it works!

Can you send a screenshot of what it looks like when you open the app? There should be something that says "I already have an account" underneath "get started"
