That is wrong. Sie isst zu Mittag is correct. Sie isst am Morgen, sie isst am Abend, aber sie isst zu Mittag.

    It's not wrong. "am Mittag essen" and "zu Mittag essen" have different shades of meaning.

    • Sie isst am Mittag. = She's eating at noon.

    • Sie isst zu Mittag. = She's eating lunch.
