We do not say "except from him" in English. The Duolingo answer is wrong.

Ngoại trừ anh ấy, chúng tôi đều thích mùa hè. AND Ngoại trừ anh ấy, mỗi người trong chúng tôi đều thích mùa hè. Why have two almost identical sentences?

Not a good use of "each". Each would normally be used for differences not similarities.
