When will Swedish be getting 'Words' and 'Immersion'?

I noticed these when I switched to German today and it looks awesome! I'm just wondering if these pages are going to be added for English to Swedish anytime soon, would really love to see it!

Here is a way to get to a word list in Swedish:

  1. Change your language to French or another language that has a word list

  2. Open a new tab

  3. On the second tab, change your language to Swedish

  4. Go back to the first tab, and click "words" at the top and a list of words in Swedish will appear.

thanks buck72, i tried your hack and it worked! i just wonder why the words-tab isn't added to the swedish menu. it can't be that hard if it already exists somewhere hidden?

Not quite sure why DL doesn't have the word tabs on other language trees. Someone awhile back shared the work-around and I "followed" the discussion and share it. :) Chris

Swedish might get a words tab but it's unlikely at this point. Duolingo is working on phasing out immersion and hasn't added for any of the new languages.

Oh, I see. I think the Words tab would be really useful for me right now, so I hope it's soon!

For now, you could use the Duolingo Swedish course on Memrise to review the vocab. I've found it pretty helpful for it.

Thank you so much! I've tried this out and absolutely love it, they definitely work together very well!

Thanks for the link. This is very useful.

but why is it unlikely, as is obviously exists already? (see buck72's post above)

It isn't supposed to exist. It is simply a "hack" that tricks Duolingo into showing it for languages where it should never be shown.

Obviously, because the hack works, it would be possible and quite easy for them to enable the features for courses such as Swedish but they continue to refuse to do it and have done for years.

The reason Duo doesn't want to push the Words function for all courses is that the data isn't well-structured and what you get can be pretty misleading.

yes, i realized by now that it can be misleading... after testing both, i definitely prefer the duolingo swedish course on memrise mentioned above: http://www.memrise.com/course/462533/duolingo-swedish/

As you may already have found out, Immersion has been officially closed altogether. See this topic: https://www.duolingo.com/comment/20362658
