Streak lost - server didn't respond after completing daily goal
I've logged in duolingo today to find that I've lost my 21 day streak. Although I've completed my daily practice yesterday, but I've noticed that around 6:30 GMT lessons and the store were not accessible due to the server being down. I'm using duolingo app primarily.
I hope someone can help, my streak was a daily motivation and I feel bummed to find that I've lost that.
I have completed six or seven exercises today and only 20 points were recorded.
Hi all, just want to chime in here to say that regardless of whether you have a streak freeze equipped or not, we've got you covered!
As I'm sure you've gathered by now, our site and apps have been unreliable due to overwhelming traffic – we've been working around the clock to resolve the issue and we're terribly sorry for the inconvenience caused. It's been a crazy few days over here!
While I can't give you an exact time, I can assure you that we will restore ALL streaks to their former glory. Our first priority is getting the site and apps 100% stable, then we will ensure all streaks and lingots are restored.
As you can imagine, responding to every incoming request is proving quite difficult, so please follow us on Twitter for the most up-to-date info on this issue. And thank you for your ongoing patience – it's a humbling problem to have more people than our site can handle!

Unfortunately my 297 days streak is still gone... Did you forgot to restore mine or are you still busy fixing the lost streaks?
I had a 275 day streak and when I opened the app on Saturday, it showed 0! I believe that the one day I missed doing my Duolingo (because I was at an event with German speakers and even spoke a little), I had streak freeze equipped but lost my streak anyway. I paid the $13.99 to have the streak restored and so far it hasn't been. I wrote to "support" at least three times, provided all of the requested information, and the last reply I received seemed to indicate that they appreciated my reporting a bug since it will help see where problems are. They did not say they will restore my streak or offer to give my money back. This is very frustrating, and has me questioning whether I want to continue with Duolingo (I was looking forward to reaching level 25 with a 400 day streak). I'm venting a little here, but also hoping that someone has some suggestions that may help. It seems I am not alone.
I did my 50 points today but did not get credit for keeping my streak going. I had a 143 day streak and should now be 144. Please don't let me lose my streak because of this problem. Tack så mycket.
Same problem for me - 168 day streak lost and I do not dare to pay to fix it because it may happen again after today?!

It isn't. I was stupid enough to pay, and nothing happened. And they don't seem to want to give me a refund either.
Don't pay! It seems to be a scam because they still don't fix the problem.
They really should freeze our streaks until they fix all the server issues - I'm having to resort to streak freezes and I hope they fix the issues soon.
I almost lost my streak yesterday, but I managed to get 16 points somehow, and then changed my daily goal to 10, but now I'm scared to return it to 20, because I'm not sure if it's gonna screw up my streak. Can we get someone from Duolingo here to help us out with these questions/issues?
o have 264 streak and i did 3-4 excercices today and it keeps deleting my progress!! I have to spend lingots and put streak freeze so i do not lsot my progress. If I lose my 264 streak I will be quite unhappy!
Unless I wait until the point clock has tallied and the graph has completely drawn after finishing a set of exercises, the points are not accumulating.
I wait and the point clock starts at -10 each time and counts up to zero. Each time.
this happened to me too! Something is not working right at DL's site.... have you reported it?

This is happening to me as well. I thought it was my internet connection
Definitely problems with the app on my ipad. Lost the streak freeze even when the app showed that lesson was completed. Web "app" shows that I didn't complete the lesson for that specific day also. When I did the lesson today in the web and also rehearsed after on ipad, the ipad app went nuts and was unable to register. I event did a video. Let me know if you're interested.
I also lost my streak from yesterday and my son lost his from today. What is going on???
the same for me ! i have tried on Chrome and explorer it is the same . The counter start with negatives points !
Me too - yesterday and today it doesn't count progress. How do we report to DL so they can fix this.

same thing happened to me yesterday and i lost my streak, today it is slow and is not counting all I completed.
Yes - I am finding it slow and unresponsive today. I've been completing lots, but my XP doesn't increase. I guess it is forcing me to practice more ;) but would be great if it could be fixed!
As with so many people, my exercises yesterday were not registered, and I have lost my streak. In the scheme of things it may not be imprtant but its rather disappointing. The "streak" is what is supposed to help motivate us...
I also completed 3 or 4 lessons and only 10 were recorded. This wasn't the first time, Duolingo didn't record my lessons properly :(( The app responded also veeeeeery slow on both devices, the iphone4 and the iPad2.
I've had similar issues, completed my daily tasks to get my 360 day streak but today when I looked my streak had been reset and my XP had went down? So disappointed to lose such a high streak because of such an unfair glitch.
The same happened to me today. After not responding when I attempted to open a new lesson I was informed I had lost my streak. I only lost a 28 days, but it has happened before.
Yep, sounds like the exact problems I have been having. Lost my streak and I ain't paying to repair it.
I've experienced the same thing. Glitch after glitch ended up taking me an hour and forty-five minutes to complete my daily goal, only to find the next morning I've lost my sixty- one day streak !! Brilliant, thanks Duo
Same here. 123 days streak lost even though I completed the my daily practice yesterday on mobile. My web app is even showing 25xp points yesterday!!!
i lost my 100 day streak.. i thought it was starting over at 0. oh well! a new streak begins!
I completed my daily goal but it didn't respond the next day and I lost my 5 lingot wager. My streak wasn't changed until I completed my daily challenge today.

Sometimes a big deep breath helps and then start again with gusto. Mind you I don't know how I would feel if I lost my 147 day streak - at least it isn't a gambling site!!
I was doing duolingo on my Ipad and then carried on on my macbook pro - I now want to continue on my Ipad but my streak and history are not there - why can't I switch from one to the other when everything else does?
