Pronunciation of hyphens

When you click on the pronunciation button, if the text is preceded by a hyphen, the pronunciation says something to represent the hyphen before it says the word. This makes it more difficult to hear the pronunciation of the word. A lot of the sentences from Wikipedia are preceded by hyphens.

This is because in French a hyphen is called a 'tiret'. This is always said in dictations, because it usually signifies a new speaker starting in a conversation.
