I Finally Finished My French Tree
I know that it may not seem like a big deal, however I've had duo lingo for a while now and this was the first tree I started and now it's over, done, but I guess you never stop learning on duo lingo.
Amazing, well done! I'm only half way through mine but I'm curious, how good is your French when you finish? Do you feel you could understand most of a conversation/film etc?
Very good. Im almost done with the first one i stared a few years ago which is spanish. Ive been doing it on and off but started to really pick it up. Do u feel like u know french better now? It might be good now to do the reverse tree. Good luck!
Très bien! I finished my French Tree this morning :-) Feels good, doesn't it?
Congratulations to you, It is not that easy to finish a tree. Now you will have the oportunity to translate a lot of articles of all matters to improve your level. Just enjoy it and be patient... Have a nice day.
I would like to ask the same thing. Do you feel you could have a conversation in French? And how did you learn it? Did you rush or did you go back on lessons you felt you had problems with. I personally haven't gotten past animals yet. I tend to find myself relearning even the first lessons to make sure I can remember how to pronounce and understand the meaning of them.
Anyways, enough questions. Congratulations :D.
I'm half way through I've been doing it for a year now. I think you should practice certain lessons twice or three times per week to make it sticks. Also for some lessons use the web browser when you get a chance, the web browser has tips and such that will help cement some of the principles
And also, I always use the web browser. One time I went to a friend and instantly disliked the app. It felt like I wasn't learning really. The browser you have to guess what it means. But the app I have to constantly go over it because it just feels like a multiple choice question. It doesn't require to know a bit of French, to read the sentences. Which is exactly what my friend did. Because of the word choices they give you when translating it. While the browser you're really forced to remember or know it.
Enough of me ranting. I just can't wait to actually be able to have a conversation. Although it'll take a while....
I completely understand, what i try to do is not look at the word choices and translate the sentence first then look at the choices to see how close i came. I'm going to follow you
And to answer your first question. I met someone from France while i was on the train and i could have a basic conversation with him.
Thanks a lot man!! :D. And I'll be sure to try that next time I'm on the go.
Yes, a lot of regular practice and patience, I went back to lessons I had problems with, but not too often.
Bien joué ! Le français est très compliqué à apprendre, donc bravo. Bon bah maintenant, pour progresser, il va falloir regarder des films français, bon courage !
