(Spanish question) Can someone please clarify for me, when you watch a film or television, you always use ver? Or, sometimes mirar? In the U.S. we watch television, but see a film (at the cinema). Unless the movie is viewed at home, in which case we tend to say, "Watch a movie."
I would say "watch that movie" for any setting, including the theater, but I would also use see. Watch seems to refer more to the act of viewing it, whereas see includes the event in general. Hard to articulate. "Have you seen that show/film/movie?" means "Have you ever had the experience of viewing that show/film/movie, regardless of the location?"
