I wrote we have 42 geese

It seems to expect the number to be spelled out, not written in digits. Every other similar sentence accepted digits for numbers.

Why? Or more like, HOW?!

Duo told me 40 2 instead of 42.

Patruzeci și două = 40 & 2 = 42

It would seem that 42 is still not an acceptable answer - it's still looking for 40 2 :(

In English, 42 spelled out does not have a space, it has a hyphen. (forty-two). See the following link (and there are others!): https://www.grammarly.com/blog/hyphen-in-compound-numbers/

the number forty two preceeds the use of hyphens, grammarly sucks

Im sorry, I realise this sounds overly harsh. Hyphenated and non-hyphenated are both correct in standard english.

I was surprised to hear this as I've always seen it and spelled it with the hyphen as I was taught in school. I thought things maybe had changed since I was a child so I looked over a number of sites. So far, they have all said that numbers like this in English must be spelled with a hyphen.

الكتابه بالأرقام واستخدام الايموشين مع الاجابه يعتبرها غلط
