Duolingo is the most popular way to learn languages in the world. Best of all, it's 100% free!

Music is a fun way to learn! ^^

So, recently I have been listening to Swedish music to help with pronunciation and to just familiarize myself with the language, and it actually really helps. I don't know if this will help others, but I'd like to suggest it to all learners!

This song also has English subtitles, so you can figure out what it means. and maybe even learn the whole song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y497IokGAp0

reading and listening to books is also a good way to strengthen your listening and speaking skills.

Hi, can I just ask, how do you listen to books? Do you download audiobooks? Where from? :)

I love her music! One of my favorites are: Dom Sa, Vi Mot Världen, Hela Huset, Sju Sorger and Snälla Bli Min. Hakan Hellström is also a very good artist.

I've started doing the same. I googled "top 100 songs sweden" and bought the ones in Swedish through iTunes. I've put all the lyrics into a text file and then I listen to the songs every day for an hour, singing along. I'm going to do that for a month and then I'll resume learning on Duolingo.

Nice! You could also use a combination of Musixmatch and spotify ( 10 euros a month ) and search for 'top 100 svenska' or the like. Musixmatch can be connected to spotify and will show you the lyrics in real time even with translations. I love to listen to Svensk Hiphop with this; It's very good

About Swedish songs, I really like listening to Sabaton. I mean, it's soooo good, and it helps a lot also.
