Lessons keep getting stuck on the microphone/record page
Sometimes after I click record, speak into the mic and click stop, nothing happens. The only way to proceed is to click "I don't want to use a microphone". Is this happening to anyone else?

This has been happening to me at least once a day (and usually multiple times). It has gotten where I can barely get through a lesson without turning off the microphone. I have also had it tell me an answer is correct without giving me access to the continue button, forcing me to abandon the lesson.
Yes, liamog, this has been happening for a long time. Don't feel bad, you're not alone. Many of us have run into this issue. In my case, I eventually gave up, and turned off the microphone. (Sniff, sniff... ;-)
A while back, I did see at least one DuoLingo staff commenting about it in discussions, so they are (or at least were once) aware of it. But I don't know how high it ranks among their priorities. When you have Millions of users and a small staff, you have to focus on the biggest, most serious bugs. This one is probably more of a "minor annoyance."
Worse yet- it is intermittent, which makes it really, really hard to troubleshoot! Even a 1337 H4x0r would have a hard time fixing it, when it only occurs on (guess) 5% of computers, and only half the time.
So don't get discouraged. Just keep plowing through!
Yep, I have my own issue with this. I just started using DL at work. If I'm doing the night shift, it's no issue because I'm the only one around, but if I work during the day, I can't have the microphone or speakers on, and it looks like the lessons (at least the one I just took) are entirely unpassable without it. Now I'm fine with using it just during the night shifts, but for those users that don't have a microphone, I'd imagine this is more than just a minor annoyance.
I'll keep an eye on this thread and see how the admins respond.
