I don't think there is anything wrong with 'the afternoon has more traffic' as an answer
yes but this looser (less literal) translation is more colloquial; so try to accept that "το απογευμα" can be "in the afternoon", and "εχει" can be "there is" or "there are" in Greek
I see your point, but in America it is very common to use the literal translation, "the afternoon has more traffic", so I don't see why it would be preferred to twist it into a less literal translation.
