Duolingo is the most popular way to learn languages in the world. Best of all, it's 100% free!

Are the article translations now gone for good?

Last year I finished the Swedish tree.

I remembered that there was a feature were people could enter/upload texts/articles and the community tried to translate it.

Is that still possible? I thought it would be nice to have some practice with actual Swedish articles.

For example I'd like to try and translate the audio (subtitles) from SVTplay's "Nyheter på lätt Svenska".

If not on DuoLingo: Is such a feature avaiable anywhere else?

Swedish has never officially had this feature (which is called immersion), but there's a loophole through which it has been possible to access it for all languages. But now, just two hours ago, the founder of Duo, Luis, just announced that they're taking down Immersion. So it seems that it won't work again for any language. See what Luis says about it in this topic: https://www.duolingo.com/comment/20364950

As a course contributor, I don't know anything more than what Luis says in that thread. What I can tell you in case you haven't noticed is that Duo has been having big problems with site performance lately, so it might be related to that. As they get more and more users, it gets really hard to maintain everything.
