Would "Man" for "Mensch" be correct here?
One might use 'Jedermann', but that's more like all the world, everyone, everybody. Man works different. It wouldn't be used in this way.
@Menschenkind, thanks a lot. Yes, "man" & "mankind" in English are like "Mensch" & "Menschheit" in German, but you could not just use "Jeder Mann hat seine Mutter", it would take on a different meaning.
Why can't I use
Jede Person hat seine Mutter.
