Lost streak despite doing lesson

Hello. I was on a 277 day streak.

I did a lesson offline yesterday that filled my daily streak quote.

But it did not register and now I am back at 0 day streak.

How can I reverse this?

I don't think there is a way to reverse it, unfortunately. In the future, keep in mind that streaks are kept track of on Duolingo's servers. Filling the daily goal offline and staying offline for the rest of the day won't actually fill your daily goal.

It's worth keeping a streak freeze equipped, just in case of situations like this.

I had a 107 day streak that I did keep yesterday (was online) and it did not register. I paid 9.99 to keep it, but I should not have needed to do so.

sometimes if youre lucky i believe the admins may help restore this for you if they check your activity. i also lost my streak (not as impressive as 277) but noticed its because i didnt reach my daily target which is so frustrating because i still did work on my language.

How do I contact an admin?

I'll admit, maintaining that streak was one of the primary motivating factors of playing duolingo.

As a result I've been able to help Spanish tourist at the airport with getting to their destination.

You won't be able to contact the Duolingo staff about this, sorry. Your phone was off-line, so it didn't contact the servers, and you didn't have a streak freeze, so your streak was lost. That's all that there is to be said about the loss of your streak, sadly. On top of that, the Duolingo staff said ages ago that they're not willing to fix lost streaks any more - it's not a sensible use of their time, since there are so few of them, and so many of us.

On the other hand, though, you came here to learn a language, not to make a number appear on a screen. All that work you've put in has still been put in, all that stuff you learned is still in your head. It was worth studying a language a couple of days ago, and it still is now. Keep going, and good luck :)

The real streek is in the number of Spanish-only tourist I've assisted.
