Nothing about that was cool.

I realized the time and put a hurry behind doing a new lesson. I finished it just at midnight and lost my streak.

Next time use timed practice, or immersion. that way you just need to make sure you get one point. :)

Frankyska has good advice.... here are some more Lingots so that you can go to the shop and have it so that if you forget a lesson one day you can still have kept the streak for that forgot day or a missed day ...

A real big shame I wish i could give you the streak back but magic a wee bit beyond myself

....

all the best Jack

Oh nooos! :( (That happened to me with my other tree. I think I was nearing 30 days. I didn't even realize what had happened until I saw the email saying "you're on fire. continue your (like, 3 or 4) day streak!) Blargy!

All we can do is press on. I'm cheering you mate!

You lost your streak, but you didn't lose what you learned... I think that is the most important thing. :) The primary goal is to learn a language, rather than to have a high streak.

So sorry for your loss. I have been there. It is like losing a pet. I just gave you 15 lingots to help ease the pain: one for each day of the streak. If you need more, just say the word.

It was only at fifteen, but that was as high as it had been in months. I have been a six days a week guy on it for a very long time.

I just lost my streak today, too. Thought I had another few minutes, and then poof, gone. Silly snowstorm.

i dont like it that some days I try and try and try to finish a lesson, but never succeed, I usually practice some too, and that usually saves my streak. But I still learned some when I was trying to finsih the lesson, I know that one of these days just that is going to happen to me. Please make it count as a streak if I logged on and tried!

Just curious and maybe a dumb question - whose midnight does Duo check - my computer on the west coast or some Duo "home" midnight, perhaps on the east coast?

It is based off of the timezone in which you were located when you first made your account.

That's a good question. I live in Ohio if that helps you to figure it out. It might just get the time from your computer. I'm not sure.
