For those wanting to learn Icelandic

Try out the flashcard program Anki. It's available for computer and mobile devices, and then download the following deck:

https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/257529691

https://apps.ankiweb.net

It has 6500 translated sentences along with spoken audio. There are no grammar rules that come with this deck, so I recommend you look up basic grammar concepts if you feel stuck. ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Icelandic_grammar )

But after you go through enough cards, you should be able to start noticing patterns in sentence construction, especially if you have previous experience studying a North Germanic language.

Hope this helps while you wait for a course on Duolingo! ^_^ This is not a complete solution, but hopefully it can give you a basic start.
