Having trouble connecting to Duolingo on Android

Although this message occurs from time to time, it normally resolves itself but for two days I cannot login. Cleared cache, reset phone, reintalled app but no change. Web access via browser is normal. Anyone any ideas or info? Thanks

Tried stopping Google Play Services, clearing cache and clearing data twice, since GPS is a bit flaky on 2.3.6 then rebooting but it made no difference

I use an iPad app but this type of problem is often resolved by deleting the app and then reinstalling it again.

I have the same problem, maybe it is some problem with the cloud? I sent feedback with my andoid app, so IF there is someone on the other side they can see if it is a hardware / software problem?

I have tried installing duo on a newer android 4.4.2 tablet and it works fine so maybe an update broke the installation on my phone which is no longer supported. Don't know enough about android to guess what or where to look and an hours googling for info was in vain. Shame since it was handy to fill in the odd five minutes on duo and I won't do as much via the browser. I'll post here if I come up with anything. Good Luck

I hope you find something, but I am afraid they are dropping support for older androids, and for some reason do not have the "energy" to let us know?
