how is imperative "take" in plural form?

plural aorist imperative is πάρτε. take a look to http://moderngreekverbs.com/pairno/

the notes say that the aorist past tense of παιρνω is πηρα. So i would expect the stem of the verb to be πηρ. Where does παρε come from?
