Get your Esperanto questions answered
With the "sentences" tab not working, it's difficult to find if people are asking questions about the sentences they're seeing in the course. The Duolingo system is great for automated learning, but there is no substitute for being able to ask a question and get an answer from a real person.
If you've posted a question and not received an answer, I'd like to encourage you to post a link to the thread here - or repost the question as a comment below.
Someone will respond.

Looks like Mizinamo replied to this in the meanwhile. Dankon Mizinamo.
Kaj Eric, nedankinde.
Perhaps you can reply to the follow-up question on common word orders, though -- I haven't spoken to Esperantists much recently so I'm not sure of what's common and what isn't.
Please do feel free to comment even if I have already.

I didn't see the phrase "I mean" in the course. How would you translate that into Esperanto. I found subkomprenigi in the reta-vortaro, but it seems a bit heavy to me, ĉu vi scias kion mi subkomprenigas?
I've always gone for Ĉu vi scias kion mi volas diri? or perhaps celas diri.
"Volas diri" is right.
Kion signifas tiu vorto?
Kion vi volas diri per tiu vorto?
BTW, it looks like the sentences tab is working again so it seems like people are getting their questions answered more regularly lately.
