Missed the beta announcement update from the Portuguese for French team last week

I am still working with the Japanese and the Haitian Creole teams to arrive at the best way to report their progress. Once again, the real number is much smaller than what is displayed on their incubator page.

One spot open. Please write two or more paragraphs regarding your intentions. Again, priority to Incubator contributors

Also, mind our courses are not for the light hearted! It is supposed to give you a basis for advanced Korean examinations, and we take alpha testing very seriously as well

We have chosen our alpha tester! Welcome sarefo!

The Greek course has graduated from Beta!

The Greek course is now "stable"!

We, the Greek team, would like to thank all of you 217,000 learners and give a big hug to those that patiently contributed to the improvement of this course through comments, feedback and reports. Without you, we couldn't have reached this point by now. Thanks again for helping us out!
We would also like to thank all those members that contributed to the course but are no longer part of the team, with a special thanks to Theo_Matrakas, who has been a major contributor that has lead us through this challenging Beta stage.

The course may be "stable" now, but there are still many improvements to be made and things to be done! We ask all of you to continue giving feedback and pinpointing mistakes so that it becomes even better and learner-friendly.

Καλή εκμάθηση!

Draft tree expected by end of February

We expect to complete the draft tree by this month. This will enable us to share the plan for the upcoming months.

To answer a key question we have been often asked:
- Yes, we will be covering alphabet followed by vocabulary as a part of each lesson.

TL;DR

The Ukrainian and the Greek courses are out of beta. Happy learning!

Czech's getting tantalizingly close :)) Great to hear that some courses are out of beta now, and Korean and Japanese seem to be going along nicely. As always, thank you for making this Jiten!

Question for whoever is able to answer it - I've noticed recently that some of the courses in development haven't been appearing on the Duolingo courses page (e.g. Japanese, Haitian Creole, Yiddish, High Valyrian). Does anybody happen to know why this is?

Are Haitian Creole and Japanese going to get course pages? Is there a flag image for Haitian Creole?

I wonder if subculture is going to be covering anime. After all, for better or worse, that's one of the major reasons it's as popular a language for second-language learners as it is.

I'm going to avoid disappointment later and just assume that the Japanese and Haitian Creole launch dates are WAY off. Thank you for clarifying that the actual progress is, as opposed to what it might look like in the incubator.

I have my fingers crossed that the revised date for Swahili is golden. I can't wait for that one! (But I don't have a choice :-D)

https://www.duolingo.com/Pruechelan

I think that Japanese may surprise us, not necessarily their estimated date, but earlier than expected as they had been working on it offsite.

I too have been swooning for swahili since I first saw it in the incubator. It seems so tantalizingly close now.

I think it might take them less long than you might think. Apparently, they have been working on it and preparing for it a lot behind the scenes before the technology on Duolingo was such that they could actually put it up in the incubator, such that large parts of the actual contents of the course are already done.

The estimate is currently at May 15th of this year—now, I wouldn't be surprised if it's still postponed once or twice, as is often the case, but still, that's a positive message. moeka518 did say the date had been well researched and considered, and of course they're using TTS so there's not as much time required for recordings as has been the case for, for example, Swahili.
