[Somewhat off-topic] Created a dark Duolingo theme. (Stylish)
I don't know if sharing stuff like this is against any sort of rule, but please let me know if it is.
While this isn't exactly relevant to Duolingo and the languages you can learn, I just want to share what I've created as I find the light and vibrant colours too sharp for my eyes. This is for Stylish, a Google Chrome extension.
You may get a copy of it for yourself here: https://userstyles.org/styles/138979/dark-duolingo-theme
You may find the Stylish extension somewhere on the homepage here: https://userstyles.org/
If you think you've found something I've missed, let me know and I'll work on changing it at a later point.
Your theme looks really nice! I've also created one myself, as well (outdated picture):
Lol. Of course Hyllning makes it green. Pretty simple, actually.
A nice green theme. Although green isn't one of my favourite colours, I do like this. Thanks though!
Thanks! I have just found another issue, so check back asap for the update. Spent a while working on this.
Your welcome but u should seriously go to bed or else ur gonna die tomorrow heheh!
yeah i got the update now, uh i recommend changing the lingot thing to white I mean this: change the text to white, ;3;/
I think that looks better than the it does now. Is it customizable? I would like to keep the blue and change the white to black.
I can work on making it customise-able. Otherwise for now, this is as much as you'll get. It's 2 am over here and I need to sleep soon. Thanks though!
ill try to do some research on how to change it, ill post on your profile if i find anything! =3
OMG, thanks a lot for this man, this theme is sooooooo cool. I really like it. Now my Duolingo profile looks like Versace-themed coz it's black and gold. lol
I have almost everything that's moddable, modded.
Yeah, thanks! These are all other people's scripts, but I've edited most of them. I kind of get sick of the red Duolingo theme though. It also changes all of the Duo owls on the site to orange.
No problem! No issue with other people's scrips, even if you've made changes. I don't really have the time to do anything like that right now, but I'll probably darken the clothes of Duo.
That'll look nice. Keep going! (You have any other scripts, btw?) Also, I saw that your Style is for Firefox. I prefer Chrome, and I wonder if anyone will have issues trying to install it in Chrome. Also, I like your compact code. Better than those people who insert like 2 or 3 lines between each segment.
I don't have any other scripts, no. However I do also work with Lua and Python. But thanks, I like to cluster my code up and keep it compacted.
What browser? And you sure you have all the ones you need?
Chrome. Also, I've only installed Luxurise's script, the MoreLingots script, and the flag background one. Tampermonkey.
Hm. I don't know. Must be a compatibility issue.
WOW! This style is awesome! I won't use it all the time, though, because I like variety. I guess that's why water's my element. (Though my friend says fire is my element because I'm so harsh to mean people **snicker)
I might edit your userscript to fit my needs, though. I'm actually waiting for someone to give me a userscript that changes the blue at the top.
Hey i recommend to change the text to something more notable i can barely read the text
Just changed it!! This is great. Dziękuję bardzo :) (thanks very much!!)
How would one go about changing it back to normal just in case I decide to do that down the line? (Sorry, I'm very technophobic for a 22 year old!)
If you have Stylish, which I assume you would do, in the top right hand corner, you'll see the Stylish extension logo. Click it. Under "Installed Styles", you'll find my theme. Hover over it with your mouse and you'll see disable. I'm not a very good explainer, but I hope this helped.
