I greatly appreciate this course, however, stork really is a useless word. When would one use it? When talking about where babies come from?? I thought Rhinoceros was bad, but stork takes the cake. Why would they teach it in a beginning language course. Some of the vocabulary in this course frustrates me.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_birds_of_Vietnam: “There are 19 species [of storks] worldwide and 8 species which [sic] occur in Vietnam.” Important for birders, especially on a bird count.
And "phenomenon" is a word you use more often? This deep in the course, I'm not sure you're a beginner any more.
Storks and similar type birds are featured in popular songs. Across the street from McDonalds on Dien Bien Phu street in Saigon, they painted a big white wall with a rhino in a field of flowers with a caption "Save the Rhino" in Vietnamese. A little bit late as the last wild rhino in Vietnam was killed a few years ago.
You never know when you will encounter these words. Or animals.
