How to learn a language faster?

I have been learning Russian for two and a half years in school about 2 or 3 times a week. For the last month i have been trying to read every day. It is hard to speak grammatically correct. I would like to hear some tips on how to learn a new language faster!

Reading is a great way to improve your vocabulary, but listening to the language is even more effective. Have you tried watching tv shows (with subtitles) or listening to audiobooks?

Well, for me, I have only been learning Russian for a month now. So, at this point I cannot read without being totally lost. I have been listening to Russian songs, however (though like with reading, still lost, though I have lyrics in hand). Thoughts on how to proceed with my learning?

Well, let's see... you could either watch movies and tv shows with English subtitles, just to get used to the sounds and hopefully pick up a few words and expressions along the way, or you could use this method and take it a little bit slower. There is plenty of stuff on Youtube, too, especially on these channels: Star Media & Киноконцерн "Мосфильм".

Songs are also a good way to increase your vocabulary, and my favorite online dictionary is Reverso Context. However, if you're feeling overwhelmed, it might be a good idea to finish your tree here on Duolingo, first. And then maybe you could try Lingvist.

Right now I'm using duolingo, memrise, a textbook, 2-3 online courses, and youtube videos. It goes without saying that I do not have time to do each of them in a day with my schedule.. But I try to work in a few in a given day (if I have the time of course). Thanks for input!

a good way, though it may sound weird is to play games for young Russian children. it helps a lot. I hope that this helps.
