audio not working on duo, settings set for on, audio works fine on other computer programs-

I have the same problem....think this is a duolingo problem and has nothing to do with our computers. It's very frustrating and I've been trying to get answers for a long time. Duolingo never clarifies or even makes an effort to figure out this problem.....there are many of us with the same problem.

They need to have an audio tester built in to the site. Kind of Like Skype's would be good...

I was having a problem with the microphone not hearing me, but seem to have fixed it. (I am using mozilla firefox but this may apply to other browsers). You have to right-click on the microphone symbol (when you have a speaking question), this opens up Flash Player settings. Choose microphone settings and adjust the volume so it isn't too load or too soft (you don't want it to go to red when you speak normally). You might also need to change your sound device here as well, if it doesn't work. After I did this, duolingo started understanding me! -Seb.
