Now that immersion is no longer a part of Duolingo, is it still possible to advance my translation tier?

Thanks, I was curious since it still shows up on my profile.

I don't believe so, since the only way you could do that was by Immersion.

Immersion has disappeared and the Translation Tier does not function anymore. Read here https://www.duolingo.com/comment/1081906 about it.

Nope, DL has deleted the only worthwhile programme for advanced students but has left the reminder of our progress on our profile pages. A little "f*ck you," like an ex who cyber stalks your Facebook page asking if you want to meet up with them again.

@ griffindance. Right you are. And not to forget all these links we still have in our mailboxes with which we cannot even reach the texts we worked on so hard. Since the disappearance of Immersion, there is no activity and no communication with the members of the little group of translators I had the pleasure of working with. Out of sheer boredom I have started on my Spanish tree again, while my heart is longing for a return of Immersion. Unfortunately, one cannot turn back the clock. It is a real shame!

There are some websites that other Immersion fans have mentioned could be used but nothing is available that was as complete as Immersion.

Lyrics Translate and Lang-8 seem to be the best on offer.

Its odd though. Since Immersion being cut I am getting more and more followers, but after I hit my 365 streak Im out of here. Ive stopped recommending DL to others because after the tree, there isn't anything else. The tree itself will maybe help a student to A2 or B1 level but nothing more.

Clubs and Bots are a laugh and now I hear that with the new app for devices there are advertisements. Its almost like someone near Luis van Ahn asked "How can we alienate long-term dedicated users and educate people as least as possible?"
