What about 'Thanks'?

That would work, just report it and move on, there are still some very basic errors (Like not excepting Hi in place of Hello)

So "Thanks, Mom." is not too informal?

What is the difference between "asante" and "marahaba?"

"Marahaba" is a specific term used in response to the greeting "Shikamoo".

The notes for the "Greetings 2" lesson break it down well: https://www.duolingo.com/skill/sw/greetings2

Now this, I know from the Lion King ^_^ "Asante sana, squash banana, wewe ndugu, mimi hapana", something like that? haha

Why not: "Mother thank you"????

Sounds kind of dramatic to me. Normally the name goes after, if it is the person you are talking to. Unless it is to get their attention. Just report it and see if its added.

The Swahili audio is not working. Any suggestions? Thank you.
