It may just be me, but i can never find all the grammer notes on the app version of duolingo, So i rearely use the app, instead i use the website on my computer. However this solution is pretty bad for when i am in the car. Is there anyone out there who knows where to find the notes, and if there is none, then when they will put it into the app, I mean, it seems like a pretty important feature

i totally agree. what feature could possibly be more important in a language learning app than including information on grammar? i don't get it, duolingo folks, i really don't. and it wouldn't even be a super complicated feature to implement, seriously.

It's completely senseless that one of the best features in Duolingo - and something that I really missed before I knew it even existed - is not available in the mobile apps. Having seen this complain in posts from as far as 3 years ago without any response from them, I think we are still going to wait a long time to have it available, if ever. Unfortunately.

The Tips and Notes is available in the App for some languages (e.g. Spanish), but not for most others. It doesn't seem to be a technical problem (since it works in Spanish!). Please bring the feature to other languages too. Without learning phase the so-called "practice" is more like a gaming app (or is that the point of Duolingo staff?)

You can still see the tips and notes on your phone, just not in the app! If you open the web page in your browser you can see all the tips and notes, and then return to the app to finish the lesson.

I'm sorry but that generally just defeats the purpose of an app. Of what use is an app if I constantly have to switch back to the browser anyway?

This may depend on your device and platform. I use Chrome for Android on a Samsung Galaxy tablet. I found about two weeks ago that I was able to see the Tips and Notes in some languages, and oh, how nice it was! Sure, they were not in the app itself, but at least they were accessible without a PC. Then, there was some kind of big Duo update this past weekend - around 15 June 2018, which I noticed in other details of the individual sentence discussions - and now, the Tips and Notes are gone. It was too good to be true. :(

I really wish Duolingo would make this work. I can see how it might be an issue adding them to the app, but I'm not sure why it's so difficult to have them on the mobile version of the browser.

you are right. I am not able to see the tips anymore even in the website. Before I have noticed that the tips section can be accessed in the browser but now... I hope it will be back the soonest. :(

Available three ways (not available in the app. I use the app + pdf and duome). organized by skill in one pdf for the whole course (for Hebrew course. other courses might have similar). https://www.docdroid.net/JnfmyEV/tipsnotesbackup.pdf

Replace username with your NAME: https://duome.eu/USERNAME/progress for progress info and tips & notes for your courses.

You can also get it from duolingo.com in the browser. make sure you use desktop mode to see everything available in duolingo. click on a skill and they're in the light bulb icons.

Here's maybe a helpful tip (at least I've been doing this): When using Duolingo via the website, copy the Tips Notes grammar explanations within a certain language lesson and then paste it in a Google Drive document (Google Docs). Google Drive (if you're not familiar) is Google's medium for storing different types of Google files. The nicest feature of Google Docs is that they save automatically; no need to click 'save file,' and you can share them with other users. Google Drive and Google Docs are also available as apps, so you can download one or both on your mobile device (iPhone or other smart phone, iPod, iPad, etc.) and you can have access to your Google Drive files while on the road. In this way, when you use the Duolingo app while you're out and about, and you need the grammar notes for a language lesson, you can just toggle back and forth between your Google Drive files and the Duolingo app lesson. Hope this helps!

I am doing this with the Klingon course, and I'd like to share my file with others who use the app to study Klingon, but it's hard to find somewhere to post it where anyone else will be able to find it. Even if they could, other learners could still go only as far as I have progressed, since you can't unlock a lesson's Tips and Notes until you finish the previous one. The file is still very helpful to me for studying on my tablet, but I have to go to a PC before I can begin any new lesson to copy the Tips, or I'll have no idea what's going on.

I'm not sure why this is so difficult for Duolingo to accomplish. It should be as simple as a hyperlink to the corresponding web page.

A combination of no notes plus being punished (losing health) for guessing the new material makes the app downright annoying, particularly when I try to go to the web version and it automatically opens the app. Aside from that, Duolingo is a great product and helping me learn a lot.

I agree. Very frustrating. I had to take pics of the tips and notes on the webapp and learn them as I muddle through life.

I just updated my App and it seems like they added tips and notes to the Spanish tree but not the German tree. I'm not sure if they are present in the whole tree since I am still at the beginning. They are bit different than the ones on desktop but still really good. So maybe there is hope to see this in other languages too.

They're working in my German tree - in Chrome browser, that is, not in the mobile app. All six of my languages have Tips in Chrome now, in fact: German, Klingon, Mandarin Chinese, Polish, Russian, and Ukrainian (although the Polish tips are limited anyway). They have been there for about a week. It may depend on your device and operating system, so keep checking back if you don't have them yet. I'm running Android on a Samsung tablet.

The Tips and Notes are working for me now! Only in Chrome browser - not in the mobile app - but they ARE there, in full, in all six languages* I'm studying. If you are able to use Chrome browser on your device, keep checking in there in the near future, as I'm hearing more and more reports of the Tips and Notes working in mobile recently. Hopefully they'll be getting them loaded for every device and platform soon. (I'm running Android on a Samsung tablet.)

It's still not in the app, no, but at least you can go to your browser to look at them when you get to a new lesson instead of having to go to your PC!
