  5. "Ninafua nguo."

"Ninafua nguo."

Translation:I wash clothes.

February 23, 2017

I still can't differentiate continuous and simple present tense in kiswahili. Why didn't they write I am washing clothes?

It's a Beta error. Although the course was automatically taken out of Beta a year after it was released, it's still got a lot of answers that haven't been added. Someone's been going through it lately and fixing stuff up. I wouldn't be surprised if this is accepted now.

"Launder" should be accepted in this context.

I'd say "I wash" or "I am washing" better encapsulates the idea of what this sentence is trying to say.
