Memrise Course?

Has anybody tried to start a memrise course yet to compliment the Duolingo course? I always like to utilize that for extra practice, especially when the language is nowhere near being a germanic or romance language.

I have, but only the first two skills are added at the moment.

Could you give a link? I'm not finding it yet. Or is it not yet made public?

I haven't made it public because it isn't finished yet, but I will make it public and I'll give you the link. I'll try to add a new skill every day until it's finished. I'll try have the next two skills added by the end of today, so then it would go as far as People 1.

Here it is: https://www.memrise.com/course/1172681/duolingo-swahili/ I have yet to find a nice quality audio for Swahili (there are options available, but they don't sound too great). I've added as much possible translations/answers as I can but if there's anything you think needs to be added let me know! Anything that is in brackets you can omit from the answer if you wish, and anything with a slash means you can choose one or the other in your answer.

Thanks!

For audio, have you tried SoundOfText.com? It's text to speech, but it's better than nothing. I've used it for my Norwegian course on Memrise, so I know it can be a little odd at times.

I'll start adding the audio to what I have added so far right now.

Yes, I have seen that for Swahili. It is better than nothing as you said, but it does sound a bit robotic. I suppose what I can do is use that for audio and once I find a better solution I can swap them.

Sometimes you need to play around with the words a bit, especially with phrases. If it sounds like the sounds are blending in a bit or even too fast, just use some punctuation to break it up or slow it down.

At this moment, there is also this other course (I found it yesterday - I am not the author).

Since I am not in a hurry, I will wait for this course and Otsogutxi's to see which one I will follow... :)
