Is it possible to block threads?
I looked at the "New" section of the Discussion section here and it was.... All garbage. Is it possible to block these so I can get to seeing actual relevant threads pertaining to language learning?

Hmmmm....I don't think so, but it helps to downvote! PS-Not all of the stuff there is "trash". Some of it is about languages. But, yes, it seems there is a lot of spam.... :/
I know not -all- of it is in general, I meant at that particular time I posted, everything that was on the "New" section was trash and it sort of overwhelmed me to see that on here.

Duolingo sort of has that already - if a post is downvoted to -5 or less, it is hidden from view. You could also help with this by clicking at the "Popular" section instead of the "New" section and ignore all the Sticky posts. Popular ones are usually useful.
Thank you. I'll just avoid the "New" section from now on. There's definitely a lot of junk on here that I'm not used to seeing, compared to when I used to do other language on here a year ago. (Though now I quit those languages for different ones.)
Today's worse than usual, it might be worse giving it a couple of days and seeing what you think.
...and if you do stick around, your upvote on the goodstuff and your downvote on the rubbish will help to solve the problem.

I think there is even a userscript that hides all sticky posts so you can just go straightaway to the Popular section without having to scroll past all that junk.
