Alternative to Bots?
As the bots feature won't be released on Android/PC anytime soon, I was wondering if any of you knew of an alternative feature that I could use to practice conversation.
I'm currently studying for my GCSEs, and conversation is a part of the exam, so I'd like to be able to practice speaking it.
There is an app called HelloTalk for that very purpose. In the app, you can converse with people in various languages. They say there are more than a hundred languages available in where you can converse.
I'm not sure whether it is available on Android as well (the Google Play store says it is), but it seems like a good application for you, and for any aspiring conversational language learner.
Applications and/or sites that I really like and recommend for language learning are :
What - Is good in teaching what?
- Duolingo- mostly grammar and syntax
- Memrise, Anki, or Tinycards - vocabulary and memory
- HelloTalk or Mondly - conversation, practice, pronunciation
- Lang-8 (its app is called HelloNative) - immersion
- Bliu Bliu - audio, music, films, literary fragments
Most of these applications and sites are available in both app and site form.
I would, but there aren't many in England. Well, there are people, but not many who I know that speak French.
