How many words are there in each course?

Hello, everybody. I was wondering.

How many words do you learn in each language course?

I believe it varies from course to course, in the Italian course I know that there were about 3400 words in the 'words' list, however I think some of these are repeated through the conjugations and such, so I don't think there's a definite answer

I think it depends. You can see how many words you've learned by clicking on Words in the blue header bar.

It depends on the language, however I think the range is somewhere between 2000 to 5000, some being repeats or alternate forms (like verb conjugations or nouns morphed by a case). I don't think any course teaches less than 2000 words since Duolingo aims for that amount when a course is being built.

Good question! I'd be curious to know the total number of words for the Portuguese for English speakers course.

I think German may have 2000-2500 so far. I'm not sure though.

There is a chart somewhere showing the number as 2860. I've got 2831 so far.

My word count for Spanish says 2,696.

I am just days away from my one year anniversary. I have 16720 XP (all Spanish), and I finished the tree at least a month ago now - so I must have seen nearly all Duo has to offer for Spanish.
