Novels/ fiction book written in Polish.
Hi. I have been learning Polish for a while now and I think it would be fun to read a book in Polish to help my understanding of the language and to see how much I understand.
If anyone has suggestions of any good books written in Polish for me to read I would be very grateful. Polish is a beautiful language and I can't wait to gain a more in-depth understanding of it.
The Polish Page on the Duolingo Wiki has a few useful resources: http://duolingo.wikia.com/wiki/Polish#Content_in_Polish
Initially, I would recommend reading the Polish versions of books you already read in English and that you know have an easy enough language. Perhaps something like Harry Potter (in the link from hughcparker, one of the "content" links shares my idea and has Alice in Wonderland or Tom Sawyer).
An interesting Polish book (for children, but good for anyone) is Awantura o Basię. Another one is Akademia Pana Kleksa. To be fully honest I haven't read them for a long while now but it was somewhere around fourth-fifth class and I'm a native speaker, so it should suit.
You could also give Polish Wikipedia articles a shot! I do that sometimes with my Spanish and Irish, I read about topics I know a bit about!
Happy to hear people saying Polish is a beautiful language! It is rather magnificent in its complexity.
