Perhaps they should allow the answer "He will call (by phone)".

Maybe, but please no brackets. Do you speak in brackets?

In the Welsh course, "to phone" is used extensively. Here "he will phone" was marked as incomplete.

'He will phone' should be marked correct.

Native English speaker. It might not be a strictly grammatically exact translation, but "He will phone" is what I'd say.

Absolutely. I want my heart back.

Similar to chinese 「打電話」= "Call" 「打」= "hit" 「電話」= "phone"

At this stage in the course there are hundreds of complaints about answers which are correct in English being marked wrongly. This is frustrating the fluid learning process. It is clear that the material, whilst better prepared by native Kiswahili speakers, needs to be proofread by people (from any country) with English as a first language.
