"Actually, I have already applied 2-3 times in the incubator but I have not got any response. So I don't know what to do now." ...I could not reply directly to that post of yours, probably to many layers deep.

I'm also very much looking forward to start learning Hindi with Duolingo, yar. ;-)

It seems the Hindi hatching is somehow stuck or the guys contributing to the course stopped, or am I wrong? If I remember correctly, it has been at 59% for ages. Maybe you can contact Doulingo directly to get it going again or get more guys interested in contributing to the course.

With Duolingo's way of using the crowd to spellcheck and approve content, it is probably impossible for a single person to complete creating a course.

IKR, it's frustrating to watch that percentage not increasing. :(

Nice :) I am greatly anticipating the Hindi course - I hope they are teaching the alphabets and characters (matre in hindi, right?), how to read and write, etc. I already know the basics and I studied the basics for 5 years when I was young. I want to gain full mastery over this wonderful language :) Good luck and good work to the team!

Thank you very much. Hindi and Urdu are great languages and are quite challenging to learn and teach. I am doing my level best to do that. Thanks again for the nice comment. :)

You are welcome :) And you are doing a very good job! As I can't contribute to the course itself, I want to show support to you as much as possible. But, I didn't know that Urdu was coming up? I had be very happy then - I studied it for 5 years too ! But I found Hindi harder than Urdu. In fact I originally came to Duolingo looking for these languages. Oh, and, are you on the Hindi course team? Because recently I saw only one contributor in that course. (Keep the lingots, you earned it ;) )

Sorry, I think you misunderstood me I am not contributing for Hindi Course. But I am always ready to do that :( Right now I am just making these links (like this one). One of the reasons Urdu is quite simple for an Arabic speaker because its vocabulary contains more than 50% of Arabic and Persian loan words and Urdu is written in Farsi script. Hindi is written in Devnagari script taking loan words from Sanskrit.

Yep you are right. But why aren't you on the Hindi course? There being only one contributor in the course, having one more will significantly push the progress of the long-awaited course.
