Happy National World Languages Week in the US!!! :-) Yesterday was the start of National World Languages Week, so I'm a day late! However, I thought I'd still come and share the news with the good people of Duolingo!!! To celebrate, I'll ask people to share reasons why people should learn another language and benefits of learning another language!!! As always, have fun learning another language!!! :-)

Learning new languages helps the mind be open to new things and it makes you able to talk to a different variety of people and maybe even be able to translate for people who don't understand.

շնորհակալություն :) Learning a language is important because it is a way of communication and it helps to connect people and exchange information, i think this is the main reason why it is important to learn a new language and for many of us it is just pleasing to speak in a foreign language.

Besides the known benefits to your brain and the ability to speak to people in their own language I think that learning a language is just fun in general. Even if you have no actual use for it in your life its still really fun!

For me, a language is the key to a culture's soul and knowledge that's unreachable otherwise. A way to think differently, see differently, speak differently, and understand other people better. And as a bonus, have fun in the process :D

Why thank you very much Evelyn! I appreciate that my friends care to make sure I'm not offended! I'm not, as mentioned. :D My original purpose was to voice my opinion for a friend, but I received such warm support from everyone, thanks to someone who didn't like me! :D

The Experience of learning a language is really enjoyable, but going to a country where they speak it is even better.

Huh, they show yōkoso (which is Japanese) in romaji and not hiragana. Strange.
