Hi. I'm starting a language learning YouTube channel. Can I get your thoughts?
Hey Duolingo Community!
In June this year I'm going to leave my job and spend 12 months travelling and learning languages.
I can't wait, and I'm spending an awful lot of time on Duolingo practising!
I'm going to vlog my trip on my YouTube channel and share the experience and the language lessons I've learned.
I've started my channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsOgRoOpWJJ8qmJDuS-k57A
and you can see my first video about German conjugation here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIKlSD94QZ8
What do you think? What sort of videos would you like to see me producing? Is my first attempt ok? Should it have been longer or shorter?
Would love to hear your thoughts!
Make sure the videos aren't too long, because it gets boring if its a long video, also keep it a little funny and quirky. I'll sub to you....i make crappy mcpe videos XD
make it entertaining and keep viewers interested. I think it's a very good idea
Try to make learning fun! It will make the users stay, try useing some jokes while teching!
That's interesting dude, really is, I'll tell you what I like to hear and see, perhaps It helps you
I like to follow polyglots and hiperglotes because they give to us their experience in learning process and good advices as well, I just slide a look trying to find some topics that match me at the moment then I watch It, here is an exemplo http://www.iwillteachyoualanguage.com/podcast-home/
Some other who I follow, well, here is an interesting suggestion to you, some of them I follow to train my ears actually, you can teach english you know, english peoples on youtube are very much popular, there are an american guy that learned portuguese then, started to teach english to brazilians, his channel becomes very famous among brazilians, likewise with a Japanese.
Here an exemplo of teaching english to everyone being a native speaker https://www.youtube.com/user/EnglishAnyone/playlists
We spectors really love to se your personal be, things nearly close from private, like, we knowing you, what you do, likes, those things :3 Well I hope I have helped you!
Sehr interessant. 12 Monate reisen!! das ist toll. Your videos are nice. I think it will be nice to see your progress and how you are learning and living. Keep the videos short and interesting.
Videos with the language one speaks subtitled with the corresponding word subtitled below or as relatively parallel as feasible. Think about it, is there any other alternative if one has to learn another language than this medium of today's technologically practical capability. Well unless you want to employ those Fabian perps at DARPA to utilize their invasive electromagnetic frequency perturbation mind control resonance alteration inundating visual and audible techno wizardry inoculation administration. How be it the latter would not be recommended here.
I think it's a really good idea! make sure the videos are interesting to keep it going though, and maybe add different languages? personally, I'm not interested in learning German so for me German lessons do nothing for me. if you add more, it'll widen your channel up to different people learning different languages. :)
